48” T-Square — Straight-Edge Guide for Cutting Rubber Flooring Rolls
Cutting a 4-foot-wide rubber flooring roll freehand is a recipe for wavy edges and wasted material. The 48” T-Square gives you a rigid aluminum guide that spans the full width of a standard rubber roll — set it, score along the edge with your utility knife, and get a straight cut every time. Built from lightweight aluminum with clear measurement markings and an adjustable head for non-90° cuts.
Specifications
- Blade length: 48 inches
- Material: Durable, lightweight aluminum
- Head: Adjustable for non-square cuts
- Markings: Clear, easy-to-read measurements along the blade
- Use: Straight cuts, 90° layouts, angle cuts on rubber flooring rolls and underlayment
How It Works in a Rubber Flooring Install
- Cross-cuts on rubber rolls — lay the T-Square across the 4’-wide roll at the cut line, hold it firmly, and score along the edge with a utility knife; repeat the score 2–3 times and cut through for a clean edge
- Seam alignment — use the T-Square to verify that roll edges are square before cutting the second roll to match the first
- Layout lines on the subfloor — mark straight reference lines before rolling out flooring, especially useful in large commercial rooms where keeping rolls parallel matters
- Underlayment cuts — works equally well for scoring cuts on rubber underlayment rolls before flooring goes on top
Complete the Installation Kit
- Utility Knife — the cutter that runs along the T-Square blade for straight scores
- Double Sided Tape — for tape-down installations once rolls are cut to fit
- Polyurethane Adhesive + V-Notch Trowel — for permanent glue-down installations
