Double Sided Tape for Rubber Flooring — 2” x 30 Yards
The no-adhesive method for keeping rubber flooring, mats, and underlayment securely in place. Double sided tape is the go-to installation option when you want a firm, reliable hold without the permanence and cleanup of polyurethane adhesive — ideal for home gyms, basement installs, garage flooring, and commercial setups where the flooring might need to be moved or replaced in the future.
Each roll measures 2” wide x 30 yards long and weighs 2 lbs. Apply to the subfloor at seams and perimeter, lay the flooring on top, and you’re done — no mixing, no trowel, no curing time.
When to Use Tape vs. Adhesive
| Installation Type | Recommended Method |
|---|---|
| Permanent glue-down, high-traffic commercial | Polyurethane Adhesive |
| Home gym, basement, garage — removable | Double Sided Tape ← You Are Here |
| Underlayment seams and perimeter | Double Sided Tape ← You Are Here |
| Free-floating with no fastening | None required (flooring weight holds it) |
Where Double Sided Tape Gets Used
- Securing rubber flooring rolls at seams — apply tape between roll edges to prevent shifting and keep seams tight over time
- Anchoring rubber mats and tiles — prevents rubber gym mats from creeping or curling at the edges during use
- Fastening underlayment to subfloor — holds rubber underlayment in place before installing hard surface flooring above it
- Perimeter bonding — tape the edges and entry points of a rubber floor installation to prevent edge lift without full adhesive coverage
- Temporary and event installations — when the floor needs to come up after an event or at the end of a lease, tape allows clean removal without adhesive residue
